Teeming cranes are core machines for the Steel Making process. They are designed for heavy / extra-heavy duty operation and settled to guarantee availability of more than 99%. Charging and Teeming cranes are used to feed the electric arc furnace in the charging bay of as well as to transfer the steel ladle to the turret station of continuous casting machine or to the ladle furnace. The same type of crane is used to transfer hot metal into the basic oxygen furnace vessels.
A teeming crane is also called ladle crane, casting crane ,foundry crane or metallurgical crane etc.
The teeming crane is usually working in casting workshop. Mostly for ladle handling and pouring the hot metal liquid . The working environment is really high temperature and high dusty and high risky environments. So that it need a high reliable teeming crane with very strictly design according to the working condition.

A teeming crane could charging the hot metal liquid to the converter or EAF, So it have the speed requirement of accurate positioning. Normally it need variable speed. Double Girder Four Rail teeming crane is also for small capacity 100 ton below. It have independent main hoist trolley and auxiliary hoist trolley. This design could help the auxiliary hook to work more easily to hook the ladle.
